Welcome to Desi Designs!  My name is Desi and I'm a seamstress, designer and artist.  I am currently designing and sewing First Communion dresses with handmade beadwork and am accepting orders now.  I also sell original artwork along with digital reprints of my work, crafts, and dolls.  Handpainted furniture will soon be added to my repertoire.

A Lost Art......

I experienced several years ago when my sons were going through their First Communion the fact that those parents with daughters were having a hard time finding a unique, well-made dress for the special occasion.  Since I had sewn wedding dresses many years ago I felt a calling to make mini versions of wedding dresses and created five unique designs for your daugher, granddaughter, niece, godchild or friend with handmade beadwork - my favorite part of the dress.  You will find that I use only the finest material such as Dupioni silk, taffeta, satin, lace, and eyelet.  You will also find that these dresses are reasonably price and I put many more hours into them than what I am monetarily asking for.  I do this because it brings me joy and I hope my dresses will bring a special feeling to that little girl on her First Communion day.

NOT JUST FOR COMMUNION

These dresses are not just for First Communion.  These beautiful, handmade dresses can be worn for a flower girl, birthday party or any special occasion.  Sizes range from Girls 5 - 10.
